May 15, 2004 we will start our bike ride across our country in a effort to raise awareness about
cancer and to raise funds to aid in the ongoing search for a cure to this disease that has touched our lives and those of
alot of other Canadians. We will leave from Victoria, B.C. estimate that we will be in St. John's, NewFoundLand in
about 72 days, til the end of July.
Our fundraising goal for this trip is approximately $25,000. With Source for Sports as our
local distributor in Kingston, Ontario, Kona Bikes is our major sponsor to date.
Our awareness goal has 3 parts. The first is to stress the importance of maintaining the healthy
lifestyle choices that can prevent half of all cancers. The second is to make people passionate about supporting organizations
such as the Canadian Cancer Society that depend on the generosity of volunteers and sponsors. The final part of the
message we want to pass on to Canadians is that if you're inspired to do something that means a lot to you, let that inspiration
fuel you, and with hard work and commitment, you will accomplish your goal.
